Is New Jersey The New Area 51? Secret UFO Base?

Good point, aliens travel across the galaxy to visit New Jersey? lol

"Once again, mysterious red lights in the sky have residents in north-central New Jersey scratching their heads.

The callers say they saw as many as 10 red lights floating in the sky, moving in unison and in the same direction as the wind from about 8:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.

No one knows where the lights are coming from, but a Michigan-based maker of Sky Lanterns says it could be his product. The lanterns have balloons and wax-infused cloth and are set aloft during celebrations." The Associated Press

Meet the Phoenix UFO hunters

he best-kept secret of the UFO phenomenon has always been the unsung effort of local Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) state and section directors. Their effort is composed mostly of normal everyday tasks, such as keeping a section's bank account in the black, finding venues, arranging for speakers, organizing skywatches, maintaining a website, keeping track of the myriad details that make any volunteer organization run. And this does not include hours spent keeping up to date on current research.

What is remarkable is that every quarter generation or so, a new cadre of volunteers take on that responsibility and keep the process moving forward. Seemingly, human determination to resolve the unresolvable will not cease. Which is a good thing, because neither does reports of unusual and unidentified objects in the sky, which increase at a substantial rate worldwide each year.

Tonight on Coast to Coast AM Robert Hastings

Tonights guest on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory is Robert Hastings, a UFO researcher who claims there is a link between nuclear weapons and the appearance of UFO's. He has interviewed numerous U.S. Air Force personnel who claim to have had "encounters" with UFO's.

You can read about this on his website:

Tonight on Coast to Coast AM: Ed Grimsley

In what's sure to be another night of great late-night radio on coast to coast AM, George Noory will be joined by UFO hunter Ed Grimsley

Mr. Grimsley has long seen UFOs in the night sky and claims that UFOs in the night sky are engaged in some kind of battle. This has to be among the boldest of UFO claims, but Grimsley invites anyone to get a set of night vision goggles and head up to his place for a show. In fact if you're interested in joining his "night vision" skywatch drop him an email at: ed@edgrimsley.com.

With Jose Escamilla, Ed has produced a soon-to-be-released movie called UFO-The Greatest Story Ever Denied: Moon Rising. If you're at all interested in the phenomenon of UFOs, don't miss Ed on the second hour of tonights Coast to Coast AM.

UFO Filmed Off British Coastline

Film of strange cylindrically shaped craft flying by British coastline.

Caravaners were left baffled when the mysterious cylinder hovered over a busy campsite in Brean, Somerset. They claimed the unidentified black metal object stands out clearly against the blue sky, where it can be seen darting up and down for more than 10 minutes.
Local police reported no unusual activity, but witnesses were left convinced they had seen an extra-terrestrial spectacle.

Top Secret UFO's with Bob Lazar -Parts 1 & 2 of 6

In the early 90's the name Bob Lazar became synonymous with Area 51-the top secret location in the Nevada desert where tests on alien spacecraft supposedly took place. Lazar, who claims to have degrees in physics and electronics from MIT and Cal Tech, was a "propulsion expert" brought in to help reverse engineer UFO's.

Lazar sounds incredibly competent, but there has to be some suspicion he's a fraud. For one, skeptics haven't been able to dig up any information that Lazar actually attended Cal Tech. At one point there were rumors that the CIA "erased" his past there, in what sounds to me like a silly attempt to explain his fake story. Did Lazar make it up, that he went to Cal Tech, thinking nobody would check into it?

After attending these stellar schools, Lazar ended up getting a job at the highly secretive Los Alamos national laboratories. According to the interview, he got the job after meeting acclaimed hydrogen bomb inventor Edward Teller. Lazar had a hobby at the time, making jet powered cars (with 22,000 HP-pretty impressive) and Teller happened to read about it before meeting Lazar in person.

From there Lazar went to work at Area 51. He says he got his checks from the office of Naval Intelligence. Has anyone reading this ever worked for the government as a contractor? Individual employees don't typically get paid by the customer. The company E G & G was mentioned in the interview, presumably Lazar worked for them. The way it works is if Naval Intelligence was sponsoring some kind of research, they would pay the facility (Area 51 in this case) who would in turn pay E G & G, who would in turn pay Lazar. I could be wrong but this part of the story doesn't add up.

Lazar has recently moved to New Mexico and maintains his own website. At one point, Lazar actually ran into some minor problems with the law, but now details the layout and operations at Area 51, including the proposal that alien spacecraft use "Element 115" for propulsion. He talks about Gravity A and B waves, but nobody I know who's studied physics can say what those are. Element 115 is a synthetic element that goes by the strange name (on earth) of Ununpentium. The most stable isotope of element 115 known has a half-life of 87 milliseconds! That makes it a strange choice for the "triangles" Lazar describes. Element 115 would not last very long if you manufactured something out of it.

Well I'd like to find out Lazar's story is true to the last detail. But right now, I'm having a hard time swallowing his UFO story. Watch the interviews and judge for yourself.

UFO Files: Would we even know Aliens were here?

The famed physicist Michio Kaku has described the four levels of civilization we expect to find in the galaxy. These were originally classified as Type I, II, and III civilizations denoting the level of control the civilization possessed.

Starting at the beginning, a type I civilization has control over its planet. But this is not the type of control we have. On earth we have the internet, airplanes, limited space travel and electric power. We've harnessed the energy in fossil fuels and are tentatively tapping direct energy of the sun. We can send radio signals across the galaxy and have landed men on the moon.

But despite these advancements, earth is nowhere near a Type I civilization. A Type I civilization is one that's in complete control over its planet-the weather, earthquakes you name it. Such a civilization would be capable of building cities at the bottom of the ocean or on the moon. Earth is nowhere near this level of sophistication yet. We are developing fast, but we're still totally at the whim of nature. We can mitigate a large earthquake, but we can't prevent one. We can explore the bottom of the ocean, but we couldn't build a city down there. The issue is the amount of energy that a civilization can control. A Type I civilization would be able to control quite a bit more energy than earth currently does-on a factor of billions. In fact a civilization like ours with moderate space exploration, airplanes and radio is classified as a Type 0 civilization.

Beyond Type I civilizations, there are Type II civilizations, which can control their entire solar system, and Type III civilizations, which control a galaxy. A Type III civilization would be as far above a Type II civilization as a Type I civilization is above us. The amount of energy at their disposal would be staggering.

To borrow a quote from Kaku's website, which originally came from Carl Sagan in his book Cosmos:

“What does it mean for a civilization to be a million years old? We have had radio telescopes and spaceships for a few decades; our technical civilization is a few hundred years old… an advanced civilization millions of years old is as much beyond us as we are beyond a bush baby or a macaque.”

This is a really powerful statement. So what does it mean, for spacefaring civilizations that may have crossed the galaxy, or even come from another galaxy, to visit and explore earth?

It may be that we would be completely unable to detect their presence. That doesn't mean we wouldn't experience them at all. Let's think about humans vs. ants. If you go exploring an ant hill, by and large the ants aren't going to be paying attention to you, or even aware you're there unless they happen to crawl on you or your in the way of their path. But maybe, being interested in studying ant behavior, you pick one up and start toying with the ant. The ant might have a vague awareness that its been taken from its normal location. It might even realize at some level its being "probed" or threatened. But the nature of that threat is totally out of the realm of its possible experience.

This may be what advanced alien civilizations are doing to us today. Now we are much more conscious than an ant, and have discovered and to a certain extent mastered science (that isn't to say there isn't a whole lot more to learn). Our conscious minds allow us to catch small glimpses of aliens and UFO's. Maybe a sighting here and there. A brief glimpse by an airplane pilot. Something that doesn't make sense to an astronaut. Or vague, dreamlike recollections of alien abductees that fill their nightmares.

If a civilization was truly a million years more advanced than we are, we honestly can't even begin to understand it. There is really no way for us to describe what it might be capable of. We can try and use the laws of physics to bound what they might do, but that's all guesswork. If scientific research were to continue for another million years, while certain "facts" like the second law of thermodynamics would hold true, we can't begin to guess what new discoveries would be made.

It's reasonable to assume aliens that could travel the galaxy would in fact be that much more advanced than we are. They would have a much older civilization, have technologies which to loosely quote Arthur C. Clarke would be indistinguishable from magic, and they would have so much power we could do nothing to resist them. Our survival would be at their whim. Aliens that advanced would be able to completely cloak their presence from other conscious beings not that advanced, would be able to abduct anyone they chose, and when we were aware of them, would appear strange, dreamlike and powerful. If they decided to do so, they could destroy the entire planet the way you could squash an ant.

So far they haven't done that. So lets be hopeful that any aliens that are aware of earth are of a more benign nature, even if we can't understand their scientific curiosities or behavior.

UFO Sightings Double in a Year

The number of UFO sightings over Britain doubled last year, the Ministry of Defence says.

A new dossier reveals one was floating above the Houses of Parliament in London, it was reported.

The MoD says there were 285 reports of Unidentified Flying Objects in 2008, compared to just 135 for the preceding 12 months, The Sun reported.

The mystery craft hovering in the skies opposite Parliament was spotted on 12 February last year.

It was recorded by authorities as having "green, red and white lights. It was still and static in the sky. It was seen for about an hour and a half."

In June, an unexplained light show was witnessed above Heathrow airport.

Last month it was claimed that a UFO ripped a 60ft blade off a wind farm turbine in Conisholme, Lincolnshire.

Hundred of witnesses reported hearing an earsplitting bang at 4am.

And a "jumbo jet sized object" was reported above Leeds, West Yorkshire, in February.

That craft was described as "flat and round with a blue ripple underside".
