Shadow People

If you've seen a dark fleeting figure out of the corner of your eye-one that maybe disappeared through a wall or disintegrated-you might have experienced the supernatural phenomenon of shadow people.  A favorite topic on Art Bell and Coast to Coast, shadow people have been known in many cultures especially among some Native Americans.

While stories of shadow people have ancient origins, sightings continue to the present day. Encounters are often unpleasant-some people even report being attacked. While the forms are basically featureless, many of those who've seen them report that they have eyes, which are red in color. The two forms depicted above are common, the figure on the left being known by the name of "hat man" by those who've seen him.

What are Shadow People?
The origin of shadow people remains a mystery. One conjecture is that they are spirit entities, probably demons because witnesses report being menaced and sensing a feeling of dread in their presence.  While they could be ghosts, their lack of detailed features has led many experts to reject this explanation, also witnesses seem to encounter the same apparitions regardless of where they are or who sees them.

Something that should be noted is the way that shadow people are described as dancing around in sudden jerky movements (like from one wall of a room to the other), disintegrating or moving through walls. This brings to mind the possibility that shadow people are interdimensional beings of some sort, or maybe time travelers. They also could be aliens. But why interdimensional beings would be hostile is something that makes sense at first sight.
